How many threes will Carrington take before someone realizes he can't shoot threes?

Carrington is definitely in a slump. But slump or no slump, he IS NOT a good three point shooter. Never has been. His game is slashing to the rim. He needs to stop shooting threes when he's not wide open.

We lost for a myriad of reasons and I agree that his off night didn't lose us the game (don't believe I said that anywhere). I recognize he's in a funk and has to shoot his way out of it. But in order to do so, he has to go back to his strengths, which is slashing to the basket. If he tries to jump shoot his was out of his slump, he's just going to get more down on himself. He is not a three point shooter. So he needs to stop shooting threes.

The team shoots poorly from 3. Hard to single out Khadeen. He has done so much for us this year.

Only reason I'm singling him out is because he takes so many unnecessary three point shots. If he goes 0-5 on WIDE open three's, I won't get on his case. But his shot selection from beyond the arc over the last few games has been not so great.

There were a few times he took a contested three with 15+ seconds on the shot clock. Why? All I'm saying is that that isn't his game. Everyone else seem to know their strengths. You rarely see Gordon taking a three unless he's wide open. If Carrington shoots 20% slashing to the basket and taking pull up mid-range jumpers, I would be okay with it knowing that once he starts connecting, he'll be out of his funk.

Carrington is a good 3 point shooterIMO when he is open and takes them in the flow of the game. He can not force them up like he did last night

He has been one of our best three pt shooter for most of the year based on his %. He has been in a funk lately.

I really think that sometimes I am watching a different game then the rest of the people on this site. I will honestly tell you that I did not think that Carrington forced any of the threes he took last night in fact I think he was open on most of them and just missed. He is not a very good shooter from 3 point range that is just where he is right now. He is a great slasher and makes some good passes but the three is not his forte. That said he has to take some of these shots because without the threat he will become less effective.

He had been shooting around 35%. I agree with what you said. We looked for him, he was open, he shot. Last night he missed most of them.

He was shooting 34%, then he has gone 3-18 in the last three games.

He certainly had some wide open 3's last night. Definitely in a funk, probably due to fatigue. The week off should definitely help.
