We went 2-0 last week so not much to complain about but Carrington really struggled and is struggling mightily tonight. Just a rough stretch?

Wow we have good energy to start game and a three point lead and your focus is immediately negative. #agenda.

I don't think he played well against St John's.

He was terrible at Creighton.

Started off of 0-4 missing wide open threes and a missed ft.

Not being negative. Just wondering if it's a slump or something else.

Agree 100%.. He was terrible at Creighton, and even worse so far tonight. Confidence seems shaken a bit. We need him big time

This is the type of game we might need him to get going down the stretch. Hope his first shot of second half drops and gets out of his slump. Feeling this game will go down to last minute.

13 points, 5 assists, and good defense and we are complaining. His shot isn't falling right now. Keep shooting, he's too good for the ball to not go in.

Why do you always focus on the negative?

During the season every single player is going to have a bad patch of games

Maybe instead of looking for something to complain about focus on the game Angel played. Or the game Gordon played. Maybe throw in the fact that Whitehead is in the middle of maybe his best stretch as a Pirate.

And Oh, BTW the Hall is in 3rd place in the league with two home games coming up. Bring that up in your next post instead of looking to criticize a player.

Here's a different take. He was struggling with his shot in the first half so what did he do? He found his teammates and had 5 assists in the first half. What does that tell me? Khadeen wants to win and is less concerned with his individual stats. That's maturity happening before our eyes and I love it. He had a better second half shooting the ball and that's confidence.

KC didn't play his best yesterday. Neither did Desi. KC was off vs CU too, and DG was 0-8. IMO, the news is not that a player is in a slump, but that we can deal with a key contributor being in a slump and do our business anyway.

And KC was nice and aggressive in the 2nd half and hit a dagger or two, like that floater after taing up the whole shot clock.

That floater was pretty and he used every second on the clock. They were done at that point but that shot put the game to rest and there was no way Marquette was getting back in.

I was the one that said Delgado should have been the Big East Player of the Week last week.

IW is probably playing the best ball of his career.

My question was simply what is going on with our 2nd best player. I asked if it was a slump or anything more? He's an important part of the team and we need his offense.

Stop always scrutinizing every post a I make.

Is Desi still the best player on our team?

This isn't the first time you have been negative about something. I actually think you are a St. John's fan because I saw what you said in several posts on here and the RU board. If you feel that you are being scrutinized then maybe it's because of something you are saying.

Khadeen, who in fact did have a ruff stretch lately, certainly righted things with a nice late surge vs Marq last eve. He's a player-he'll be fine

No. Desi was our best player 1st half of the year. IW in conference play.

The point here is a simple one. If a poster feels the need to be critical after an excellent effort by the Pirates for whatever reason than I just ask you choose your words more carefully. No need to call a player terrible.

Sometimes it's how you say something that is more important that what you say.

Instead of saying Carrington was terrible against Creighton, didn't play well against SJU and started off badly against Marquette maybe a better way to put it is Carrington hasn't been playing as well as he had previously and when he gets back to that level the team will be even better.

Our players, their friends and families read this board. Words can hurt. Even if it's a minority opinion.
