CBS Sports in depth on NIL

We are allowed to share revenue, but with a cap. A lot of people complaining that we should have known that $5M wasn't going to cut it for the coming year. Maybe some programs did, maybe some didn't -- but I do wonder where the other $5M was going to come from? All we could raise in NIL was $1.5M last year. Even if we knew we needed $10M to go head-to-head with SJU, we weren't going to have it.

I think next year is going to be another struggle for us with the hope that it will get better the following year with a cap (assuming large contracts don't get grandfathered in). Unfortunately, schools like St John's, Michigan, Arkansas, Indiana etc., are just flat out overpaying for guys. These schools are theoretically ruining the sport. And if i was an alum footing the bill, these schools better all win big next year.
