C'mon fans

Last game of the regular season. A bid on the line. Senior night with the game being played Saturday 8:30 and we can't fully support our team.

If that happens, shame on us.

We want to be big time. But if this game isn't a near or actual sellout are we really a big time program?

Semi-related note, I love the emails that get pushed out by Prudential Center:

Doors Open: 7:30pm.
Game: 8:30pm.
*All guests should allow at least 45 minutes for security checks*

Well, security checks only happen inside the doors. And if the doors only open 1 hour before the game, it seems pretty tough to allow 45 minutes for security checks but ok.

*It's Senior Night! Please be in your seats by 8:10pm to give our seniors a huge ovation*.

Ok, but if the door opens at 7:30 and I have to potentially allow 45 minutes for security screening, that puts me at 8:15pm :)

In all seriousness though, if they are doing a pregame ceremony, it would probably be helpful to open up the doors a little earlier than usual. It does take a while for people to get in, get food, get settled, etc. Our players deserve all eyes on them.

Other than DePaul and this year only at Georgetown, who else has a coach that has to beg the fans to attend a senior day?

It could have been predicted months ago that this matchup would be a yawn.Athletic department should have organized discounted ticket sales for young kids and students in the area. Some type of giveaway to get people there.

This is the easiest and simplest answer. Therefore SHU could never have thought of this.

Unfortunately Spring Break this week. However students were great on Wednesday. Also on a side note, if the Pru Center opened more concession stands, sell the $7.00 Mich Ultras in more than one hidden stand, etc. fans would be more willing to come.
And I still can’t find that $7.00 Mich Ultra stand??

Virtually no one was there when madison jones was feted.

classes start up again Monday. Hopefully some kids came back today and will make tonight’s late game

And where’s the school? No social media features on the Seniors? Alerts about the ceremonies?

Let kids 12 and under in for free.Hand out a photo of the 5 Seniors with Sha at the Rock entry points and have the Seniors sign the photo at the end of the game. This is not rocket science marketing.Get out in front of things as opposed to waiting for disaster to strike.Schools job to get fans excited who have plenty of other things going on in their lives.

Was slightly better than a DePaul crowd. The first half was nothingness, some juice when we stretched the lead but nothing like the bigger home games.

Student section a mess again.

Oh and crazy weather was like a summer storm pouring and wind up here. 🙄

How many tonight? I couldn’t tell much from TV shots.

I get the opponent, weather and student issues, but that still kind of sucks for this surprise season on a Saturday night. And look I wasn’t there either because of family obligations, so not casting blame. But thought it would be better for the seniors especially with all the discounts etc

I was very pleased with the turnout tonight. Four hurdles leading up to the game, a late Saturday start time, playing lowly DePaul, miserable driving conditions, and students on spring break. I was expecting that we'd be half full, but the lower bowl was pretty full except for the student section and that's on the university.

Btw. Good crowd. Except student section.

I dont get the students. Other than the student section the crowd was good. Surprisingly good. The corners behind the basket by our bench were full.

It was a late game. The weather was awful. And Seton Hall was playing.

This year for the most part the student section was as bad as I can remember. Except for a few games they gave little juice to a team of fellow students and overachievers. Short of two of the worst teams in Big East history, Georgetown and DePaul you saw this nowhere else.

Sure there were excuses, aren't there always? But those same excuses existed in the past and the students showed.
