Cops quitting

You left out the part where the guy dragging the PA system was walking down the middle of a street where there was traffic. He was told repeatedly move out of the traffic lane and did not comply.

You reap what you sow.

Both sides knew exactly what they were doing.

BTW, he clearly resisted despite the clown that was shouting to the contrary.

He likes to just post lies from the Twitter mob. Twitter is just like sports refs, they capture and penalize the reactions, but the initual act is always missed

Imagine a world without smartphones and social media

Maybe if all the bad racist, crooked, dishonest cops quit that not so bad if their replaced by good, honest, cops that do the job the right way.
It says a lot about the overall police mindset when you see cops quitting rather than trying to reform how they do their job to ‘serve and protect’ their communities.
Or when they’re quoted as saying. That agreeing with protestors is the biggest career mistake they have ever made and they will never live it down.
Or when the Union leader cry’s on national TV cause they don’t like being treated the same way they have treated Black suspects and victims forever. That says a lot that they don’t see a problem. That is the problem. That cops actively look for an excuse to assault people like the video in this thread is a problem.
And don’t tell me that cops can’t use restraint or can’t arrest someone without using deadly force there’s plenty of video evidence to the contrary it just so happens all those are white people. Swinging axes, stealing tasers, assaulting officers with their own batons yet they are brought in in handcuffs not a body bag. Stealing a taser and running away is not justification to shoot someone. hard stop.

That is a naive take if I ever saw one. They want to come home to their families.

I lived across the street from a police officer that was asked to be an assistant warden at a local jail after he retired from policing. He got promoted to be the warden for that jail and was a very fair and ridiculously honest man. For two years his house had to be watched by police because three different times criminals broke into his house and damaged it, set it on fire and threatened his wife. The protection stopped and he got broken into again and they hid in the bathroom while the assailant threatened him and his family. He never knew the guy but apparently the guy was in his prison for a few years. His house had to be protected again for another year. After that they moved from the house they loved because even though it was in a nice town they had to move every few years because of two guys that were absolutely nuts and wanted to keep tracking him down. There is another side of policing that a lot of folks don't see. Most police walk around even after they are retired worried that someone they rightfully arrested will come back and hurt them. It's real and it happens. You can say it is part of the job and what they signed up for, but it has to be scary. And when you are in a fight with a perp and that perp is trying to hurt you, that perp needs to be disarmed one way or another and when a perp is trying to hurt or kill you I don't think the police are looking at who that person is they are trying to survive and go home to their families.
