The most impressive thing about this game was that the Hall played a desperate team who had to win the game to salvage their season and we beat them on their home court with our starting center sick with the flu.

The ugly win against Providence started this run of 4 wins in 5 games.

Sometimes a win, any win no matter how poorly played gets you back on track and playing with more confidence. Like a shooter in a slump seeing a couple of balls going through the net and then going on a run.

True. Make no mistake Creighton was a cornered dog and that was a MUST win for them. We took their best shot.

Creighton is a good team. They are a couple unlucky plays from 8-5.

BTW, there's a reason that Creighton folds so much down the stretch. Their offense is predicated on running on 8 cylinders. But in late game situation it's best (to a degree) to bleed the clock and that is not something that the Blue jays do well.

The result? 6 losses after leading at the 4 minutes mark this season by at least 4 points.

Their losses to Marquette and Xavier are hard to fathom. They could have easily won at Nova missing 2 starters. They are a good team. There is no way i think they are last in our conference. With home games against Providence, Depaul and Gtown along with road games at Depaul and Marquette, i can see them finishing 4-1 down the stretch finishing 8-10.

The most creative win to ignite a winning streak goes to Louie Orr going with 6 guys to beat Georgetown.

They do a lot well but haven’t closed out games. It’s why their metrics are still good and why it’s a QUAD 1 win for us.

Technically that just got it to overtime. We won the game in OT with only 5 guys LOL

In a few of those losses they had a lead under a 1 min to go. <Jon rothstein voice> the epitome of brutality.

They also have a a PG who missed a couple of games and is now playing with one hand. That really has hurt them down the stretch.

Sometimes it’s not coaching or the talent a team has it’s just they need to learn how to win and one indicator of that is a team that blows leads late like Creighton.

They can just as easily go 1-4. They will lose to Marquette and I think one of the Depaul games. They will likely also lose one of the 3 home games. so 2-3 is likely.

Losing 4 straight and 2 to Depaul hurt us as far as perception. Other than the Nova game, ALL our conference losses were winnable games. Even in out of conference, the only game we weren't in was Nebraska..late.

If we just cut out the careless turnovers in the first half to 3 quarters of every game the results would be significantly better. I have noticed an improvement in that we don't try for the HR pass on the break anymore. That specifically drove me crazy. Unless it's wide open you don't make those passes after you just turned the other team over. It kills momentum.

lol, just ask Alexander what that’s like

Alexander had a brutal shooting night yet in that one stretch he was on fire hitting 5 threes. Other than that he missed his other 11 shots. Many wide open. Amazing what confidence can do for a shooter. Or what the lack of it can do. Sometimes within the same game.

Was glad he reverted back to brutal toward the end. That was some stretch.
