Tonight, I am rooting for Creighton.

Butler is favored, but Creighton has the potentially explosive PG that Butler lacks.

I think we may be ahead of Creighton for tournament consideration, even if Creighton wins.
I am more afraid of Butler pulling over us, on a good season ending run.
Every Butler loss is big, so that we stay ahead of their cohesive, well coached, but
small nuclear group of solid players.

Tonight's game will probably be a treat for fans who like to observe good coaches.

Butler is pretty much out of it. I'm a McDermott fan and the higher they finish (and an NCAA bid)...it makes our win against them look better.

Rooting for Butler!
Really don't want Creighton to finish above us in the standings.

Have to be rooting against team above is on the standings. Creighton only has two other losses on their schedule so a win tonight puts them in driver seat for third place. Butler has 7 losses and goes to Villanova next, should stay behind us. Gotta be routing for Creighton here.

Rooting for Creighton makes no sense. If we get to 11-7 we go to the tourney. However, getting more teams into the tourney makes the Big East look better. Butler has a strong non-conference, and if they get to 9-9 or better have a shot of getting in. Creighton would probably need to go 12-6 to have a shot, since their non-conference slate was garbage and the BE is down this year.

The only team I want Butler to lose to for the rest of the season is us. If we get to 11 wins it won't matter if we are in a tie for 3rd, 4th place or 5th place, we are in the tournament. Best thing for us is to go 5-1 the rest of the way, but short of that take Gtown or Butler and either Prov or X and win the games we should. After Nova, X, Prov, and us, Butler has the most reasonable shot of getting in.

I really have no idea. They're like inverses to one another. Butler (RPI 64) has good non-conference, bad in-conference. Creighton (RPI 80) has bad non-conference, good in-conference.

I clicked on this thread hoping it would sway me one way or the other but now I'm more confused than I was when I turned the game on. Pat, I was looking to you to sway me one way or the other, then you went and liked two opposing viewpoints. Lol

Being that Creighton is in 3rd and we are in 4th I want Creighton to lose.

We regained 3rd place with Creighton loss. Butler is tough. We have to particularly stop Dunham to beat them, but their whole team is good. Frank

ATM's post threw me for a loop when I re-read it just now. Or was his last sentence a typo?

I wanted Butler to win. They're behind us, we split with CU. Who knows what will happen with BU? I want 3rd place. BU has strong OOC.

Sorry was cooking dinner tonight and then watching House on Netflix with the wife. I wasn't on my A game.

Again, glad Butler won.

I think it was better for Seton Hall that Butler beat Creighton. I'd like to finish 3rd or 4th in the conference. We are position for that to happen. I won't like if Butler beats us the 2nd time and sweeps us. Creighton is
still alive but every loss makes it more difficult for them.

Let's take out Gtown first. Butler has quite a few options on offense. This BigEast Tournament is shaping
up to be quite exciting.
