Not sure if I agree.I will speculate a known fact … the squad is much too small and will get destroyed on the glass and in the paint. One additional PF will not clean up the problem.
He will end up elsewhere just like the big from Blair.Whatever happened to the HS kid from Plainfield?
I think all the really good kids who play the 4 or 5 are long gone. They just aren't there to even try to get and we probably would not have the money to get them anyway. Not sure if I agree.
If we gain a legit sized good PF that plays 30min a game. We can put in Payne/Godswill (and maybe Dar?) to play the remaining 10 min and not sacrifice too much size at the power positions if we play it right.
-Will we get that good PF with size? Prob not
-If we get the PF will Sha rotate and play folks accordingly and not out of position. Not likely.
Is it possible one good sized PF could solve lots of issues of height and size. Yes
Not all are gone but most. Just need 1 or 2 to change forecast.I think all the really good kids who play the 4 or 5 are long gone. They just aren't there to even try to get and we probably would not have the money to get them anyway.
Added a few…Evan Miya transfer rankings:
PF
Darion williams = 1
Van-Allen Lubin = 91
Doctor Bradley = 354
Prince Algibe = 722 (lol)
Mustapha Amzil = No eligibility??
C
Baba Miller = 66
Bradley Ezewiro = 426
Papa Kante = Not in the system
So 3 players that could help.
Don’t want whitehead back unless there’s justice for Aquille CarrThe eligibility stuff is crazy. With the NCAA folding or losing in every case…many of these 6th year guys might actually have eligibility…maybe we can get whitehead to play here next year since being a former pro is like only a 4 game suspension.
When players enter the portal with a “Do not contact” just means their agents told them to. Either it’s already a done deal with school or just the agents want to be the ones to broker the future deal directly before the school can talk to player. More normal than not with players in demand.
Good point but like I said, Sha has always gone with non-traditional 4s. Dar is taller than Dre Davis lol. Not saying I agree with it but I think this is the plan until I see us sign a PF at least. Aligbe couldn't shoot 3s so he was always taking contested shots in the paint against giants. Dar on the other hand can stretch the floor so he won't be trying to score over 6'9-6'10 BE PFs all the time. There's a differenceDo some of us here actually watch basketball, have played it, or understand the game? Aligbe was an undersized 4 in the Big East and got exposed. What do you think will happen to a guy who’s a skinny, spot-up shooter and even shorter at the 4? This would be a terrible outcome if it happens.
Don't be heightistWait till you guys find out that Payne is actually 6’6 and has no skillset
rutgers was a losing team. No one on their team you'd want?I thought this with Jenkins and seems to be trend for what Hall can get. These are players from losing teams coming to a losing team. Can't expect anything different.
I wonder what Europe has to offer.I think all the really good kids who play the 4 or 5 are long gone. They just aren't there to even try to get and we probably would not have the money to get them anyway.
