If I may ask, what is our current status with Darnell?
I noticed in the past [not lately] that a number of posters have said that we have 3 scholarships to give, when we obviously have 4 [Desi, Ish, Angel, and Deano]. That leads me to the speculation that Darnell is still on board [along with the fact that Shaheen just spent some time in Fla with Kevin Boyle]. Just wondering...
Now, on the latest recruiting misadventure [although the final results are not yet in, on Anthony Nelson], just one humble man's opinion, but I think that the trouble lies at the door of the HC's office. Think about it-these assts work their butts off to get these guys interested in Seton Hall, we're at the doorstep with any number of recruits, and then, when push comes to shove, very often we are the bridesmaid.
Really now, if this were one of the higher profile recruiting HC's, do you really think they would be losing all these battles?
In sum, all is not lost [yet]. Hopefully Nelson eschews shoveling snow, and playing 2nd fiddle to some Gopher OT, to come to his senses and pick Seton Hall. Khalil Moore and Jared Rhoden would be nice additions here, and their alternatives aren't such great deals [Penn St, Ga Tech].
Otherwise, the names going forward for the early signing period seem to be Mac McClung and Austin Richie [who I've tried to access as a Bloom Twp HS Jr, w/o success]
