So great to see the team come out with the same defensive intensity it brought to the Georgetown game.
I was at the game and the first good sign was when Tray Jackson dove on the floor for a loose ball in the first minute or so. From there, the intensity was off the charts with everyone, from Cale who was glued to his defenders, to Harris who played intense defense, right down to the last player.
Ball moved better on offense in the first half, but I think Willard intentionally called several isolation plays in the second half to run the clock down and draw fouls.
It was a beautiful game - well worth traveling to in the ice/dicey weather.
Nice to see Samuel getting back to form - Willard said in his post game that this was one of the most important takeaways. We need Samuel back to form and I think he is getting closer.
