This appears to be growing into a utter disaster. 12,500+ people huddled under a bridge living in filth. Filth is a polite way of saying it. My understanding is that there are no facilities and they are left to urinate and defecate in place.

Where is AOC? Didn't she call the prior facilities concentration camps? Oh yeah, she is at the $35,000 pp Met Gala.

Mostly displaced Haitians.

CBP is now diverting additional arrivals to another site at Eagle Pass.

“Cages”...””Ripping children from their mothers arms”....”Humanitarian crisis”....funny how the MSM is now tongue tied...

Fox is only one covering it so it can’t be important to MSM or Left.Their calling is to cover for Biden and there is no way they can put lipstick on this pig so they ignore it.

i dont follow the news too much these days for obvious reasons. whats the story here?

Worse part is Biden cannot say he was following the previous administrations policy. He owns this big time, sad when you realize how desperate these people are to get out of their current situation. Joe encouraged them to come, now what do you do. Again no plan, no resources to help. It’s like inviting people over for dinner and having no food. We counted the votes and this is what the other half of the country wanted. Tortured women and children, dirty living conditions, expanded homelessness, one crisis after another, sounds like a plan for real change. Watch people suffer at the border and of course “make the Taliban great again”. Oh and give me 3.5 trillion and I will figure out what to do with that as well. This is what happens when you elect someone who has always supported slavery. History is repeating itself, only the skin color has changed.

any reporting on the vaccination status of these people? All kidding aside I feel bad for these people and hope they’re getting the nourishment they need.

So we invite them to come and then fly them back. Sounds like an excerise in futility.
Take it for what it’s worth, directly from the WSJ article…

“Mr. Biden and other administration officials have repeatedly urged would-be migrants not to come to the U.S.”

If Central American economies have been collapsing under the effects of Covid shutdowns in and out of the countries and that has caused an increase in migrations, are we really going to complain that Democrat President Biden and administration say “don’t come” and now are expelling them using Republic President Trump administration legislation of Title 42?

Again, I’m just reading a pretty neutral article that explains it clearly. I’m sure we can do left/right chest thumping and find discrepancies and argue whether someone somewhere said something that isn’t consistent with this article. Forgive me if I’m trying to view this through the lens of an American for what’s best for the country instead of the constant political divisiveness that the left/right warriors love.

I agree with you in terms of getting away from the partisan talking points. Problem is you just can’t tell people don’t come when we have created such a porous border and intake process. As much as Trump was a lunatic, he was right and that you need to secure the border in every way possible. We have people from every continent coming in through our southern border. Illegals, terrorists, people that we are spending money to send right back home. I know it’s different geography, but it seems like our northern border is pretty secure because Canada is very prescriptive.

At what point does the word Trump stop getting used in every situation whether by people pro or anti Trump. We're the United States of America. We have a situation, let's freaking solve it, but instead we point fingers.

The only reason I brought up his name was because he’s had the only semblance of a strategy. But you’re right. It’s a solvable problem but there doesn’t seem to be any political will to do so. This administration seems to comeplwly be MIA on this issue. Sending Haitians back is just a reactive response. Illegal aliens, human trafficking, cocaine and heroin, Oh, and whatever happened to DACA? “Dreamers” don’t matter anymore?

Sami think you mis understood my comment, I read the article and it is a fair assessment of the situation. My point is we are misleading folks. If you go back and read my posts, I’ve said numerous times that both parties are failing. I called what’s happening “modern day slavery”. Both political parties are taking advantage of other human beings. Our new President clearly told people he’s was going to open the gates. If he changed his mind, maybe he could tell people before they walk 500 miles to get to the border. You knew where the last President stood on the issue, trust me there is no doubt he took advantage of the cheap labor himself. These migrants are political pawns and my heart goes out to them. They have to be completely desperate to walk and subject themselves to the conditions at the border. Remember both parties have had the chance to make the people living here citizens. No one should have to live in the shadows, again powerful donors left and right are making a living on the backs of their hard labor. No question in my mind we are witnessing modern day slavery plain and simple.

I really didn't mean you specifically, I meant everyone in general. I turn on my phone and the news articles are constantly about Trump this and Trump that. We have major issues and the more we talk about Trump, less attention the real crisis get.

Agree 100% on that. MSM obsession because it’s rating$$. Nobody showed up for the “protests” in DC yesterday....wonder why.

Got it. Wouldn’t be Biden’s first f@&k up but hopefully the borders will be a bit tighter.

Probably also helps that there are not thousands of Canadians trying to cross every day.

You know what I mean. There’s more then Mexicans coming in from the south. And you think drugs are coming in from the north?

Agree with that. Unfortunately any solution is going to create more problems that we aren’t really for so politicians on both sides keep kicking the can down the road.

Some, sure. Weed from Canada was much better than weed from Mexico a couple decades ago at least. Lol..

Lots of problems in the southern border that just don’t exist in the north though.

So? It’s been ignored and still is.

After weeks of being lied to that they would be deported we are now told that most of them have been released into the United States.

Many of them had been living in Argentina in asylum for several years.

I always wonder how these caravans can organize so well. And I see hundreds of border patrol vehicles lined up one next to the other in Del Rio. If the drug cartels pay these people $1000 each and then another thousand if they got into the country. That would be about 40 million. Probably a days worth of shipments. Sounds like a great diversionary tactic to allow drugs to flood in through other points of entry that are short-staffed.

The same thing has been happening in the Mediterranean for about 7-8 years.

In Europe, it's now become common knowledge that such migrant flows are often coordinated by NGOs. (The name George Soros often pops up.)

Thankfully Soros is 91 years old, this one man is responsible for lots of damage. He’s the emperor of the evil empire. He used his money to change the way people think and did just an amazing job. Shows what money in the hands of a crazy nut can accomplish.
