Delgado

Has really picked up his play. Has been dominant the last 3 games. Agree about him being so relaxed.

Player of the game. He played great on both sides of the floor. Awesome game !

He was an absolute beast tonight! 19 and 13 with solid/smart defense to stay out of foul trouble.

@SPK145 ... We now give him the ball almost every possession in the first few minutes of the game.

He scores a few points, gets in a little groove... Draws a foul or two on the opposition... Grabs a few rebounds.

The first few minutes of the games are now giving him confidence... He's no longer being ignored downlow.

Also his FT shooting has improved greatly since last season.

He was great. His defense, his scoring, of course his rebounding, and he has become a terrific passer who sees the court well. Great game against a tough front line.

Probably his best overall game as Pirate. Calm around the basket when shooting. Solid defense. Super rebounder. Relaxed. G
Keep it going AD!

Told me when I asked him a question a few games back that he was playing lazy ball. His words responding to my question about him playing better.

He gave credit to Willard for sitting down with him and challenging him to play this season like he did last season.

BTW, notice how comfortable he is now establishing deeper position and then not rushing, getting a quality shot or passing it to a teammate without making a bad decision.

Excellent point Tom. His free throw shooting seems to be much better this season. Seems like his focus has been zeroed in the past games as you allude to Dan. The key is sustainment. Angel definitely deserves an atta boy after last nights performance.

pmulcahy96, he better sustain it or else he's going to hear it from Carrington, Whitehead and Willard. They're in his ear all game long. :D

Khadeen recently said in the post game that we don't win unless Angel is playing with energy and passion. And when he's not we're in his face all game long.

Did you see his quote in the NY Post talking about Ellinson - classic.

"He’s a real good player, but he’s still a freshman,” Delgado said. “I know how that feels, being a freshman last year. You have to get in this guy’s head, and that’s what we did today. The same things people said to me last year, I said to him.”

Thought this was great!

Last night, there were quite a number of times when Ellenson banged into him and Angel maintained his position firmly with his feet on the floor. He's using his position some much better.

love to see players get better as the season goes on. Everybody seems to be getting better. That's a credit to Willard and a credit to the players for their commitment and focus.
