Depleted Big East?

Last I checked we were 3rd in conferences in the RPI yet this article surfaced on my CBS sports app. How is 3 teams in the top 11, looking at half of not more of the league dancing depleted?

He's not saying the Big East is depleted. He's saying the marque matchup of Saturday is being water down by the fact that two of the top players are hurt.
