Desi will play tonight!!

as he should. Kids do stupid things. Hopefully all is good.

I'm thankful he appears to have done what was necessary to let KW allow him to play. Hopefully it was a learning experience and is the last we hear of it. As many posters, better late than never with KW and flexing his disciplinary muscles, just wish it didn't take until year 6. There have been a lot of things that appear different with KW this year versus the first 5. I'm hopeful The Hall come through the next 5 games in decent shape and can move forward with what has the chance to be a nice (and surprising in my eyes anyway) season versus where The Hall went last year after starting 12-2.

Everyone learns in different ways and at different times. Glad to see he is playing and hope we get past this. Desi is a good player and still a kid and it took me a long time to learn certain things. Glad for Desi, the team and Coach Willard. Let's Go Pirates!

For me the good news is the way Kevin and the team seem to be maturing. The normal rule of thumb in life is that those that create the problem are the least qualified to fix the problem. However there are signs that there is growth on not only Kevin's part ,but also the players have adjusted to what it takes to win in this league. The pressures are great, and at times kids say and do things that indicate where they are on the emotional growth chart. Hell,,I am long in the tooth and still amazed at how easily when there is some sort of discord I immediately go to my :Jersey City" in your face response. I have learned that there is little value in this and fortunately have adjusted my behavior.I am more than a little amazed at the sideline energy of Kevin, the immediate response to conflict, and a series of indicators that this coach and this team are vastly different than last year. There will be rough patches again, but I have much more confidence that the ship is not headed for the rocks this time.

I really wanna know what his problem is. this whole thing is incredibly frustrating.

Probably maturity. Has to learn he's part of a team with a leader that he needs to respect by behaving with an expected level of decorum that should be part of the winning culture of the team. I am also assuming the "new KW" has now established such.

Hopefully just a blip on the radar. We need Desi to play like a man tonight and take it to Nova.

Hopefully this brings both of them closer together for a healthy and happy relationship for now and years to come.

Hopefully no one bashes Arch in the head or anything but we need to play tough!

Wonder what effect the benching and subsequent intervening days before this game had on DR? Obviously, it had an affect or was his poor performance the "mere coincidence" rule?

He certainly didn't look as assertive. Could've been the opponent,

Nova plays very good defense - probably one of the best defensive teams in the league. They are also quick and move their feet so the new rules benefit them greatly. Desi struggled tonight and maybe the benching clipped his wings a little but he will get back to being Desi very soon. The refs also took away a lot of our aggressiveness too the way the game was called. I don't think you can put this on the benching at all. Too many other factors (very good team, tightly called game and Ochefu really guarded the rim too).

I believe the Desi benching took him out of his rhythm. He never looked
comfortable tonight, certainly not in the flow. I do believe the benching hurt
Desi in the short term and the team, but will pay huge dividends to him in the long run
and had to be done.
