Did anyone catch Desi kiss Willard on the head during Spanarkle's post game interview. Desi just looked like a happy kid.

He kissed Whitehead also!

Before that Carrington shouted something during the interview. Happy kids!

After the head smooches Desi ran down the front row high fiving all the 'money men'. LOL

I was elated to see Desi kiss Willard on the head. No proof and don't ask me why, but I always felt he wasn't very happy with his coach..

Desi has really picked up his play especially defensively the last five games. And it's keeping him on the floor longer and his production has increased across the board as a result.

Very good at anticipating and playing the passing lanes. Also excellent at deflecting balls with his quickness and good hands.

He also seems to be concentrating more on D knowing if he doesn't he'll be sitting where he loathes to sit......on the pines.

I think Desi is this generation's Jerry Walker. Does some things on occasion that drive you nuts but when he appears to be a fox hole type of player.

Shows how much these guys love playing with each other and for the Coach. Brooke from to see all of this. Team is so likeable and business like the way they approach each game.

One of the most impressive things about the ProvIdence game was when the Bentl foul came, all of our players kept their cool and didn't exacerbate the situation by pushing shoving or starting a fight. Don't think that happens in past seasons. We just proceeded to bury them for the rest of the game.

I felt like this was Willards short coming his first 5 seasons. People would miss assignments and I guess he was a nice guy and explained it to them at halftime or after the game. This year you are coming out. These guys want to play and the only way to do that this year is to get tough and play D.

It's called options. Still not as many as we would like but better than ever before.

I disagree, he had 4 guards last year, he rarely if ever pulled one for missing a defensive assignment. And in a teaching moment he could have thrown Karlis out there for a few minutes to get the 4 guards to learn. He had Oliver, Fu, Mobley, Auda, Teague, Geramipoor in the frontcourt 2 years ago (6 guys), he rarely if ever pulled one for missing a defensive assignment. He played his best players in an attempt to win as many games as possible. He risked losing to WSU this year. He risked losing to Depaul this year to sit players. Our backcourt is thinner this year than last year. Not to mention how many times were we getting blown out early in the second half in the past and did he just decide to play everyone else to send a message? Willard has been tremendous all around. Very proud of coach this year. I love that he isn't tolerating people to do what they want because of their talent, but he's had options in the past to use the bench as a motivational tool.
