Desi can play, that alley oop fed by IW was the best slam of the year....period and Marshall had to back up just to see it because he talked over it. Isiah has the assists firing on all cylinders.
How about his inbound lob to Ish for a basket?

Desi was incredible last night. But here is what impressed me the most - his defense. He was totally committed to playing solid D last night on every possession and it is what kept him on the floor to make those terrific dunks and alley oops. He was a highlight reel last night and deserves major kudos from me and all the Pirate fans. Great Game Desi Congratulations!!!!!
The way I see it is that it's not Veer pushing Desi for minutes like all of us thought would happen. It's Gordon. Often in the end game Willard goes with three guards sitting Desi.

Desi playing defense is the best thing to happen. What I saw , he needed to get a lot better and I could see why Willard was dogging him. . Much better offensive player than Gordon and makes his foul shots which we need to finish off games.
Speaking of Ish I thought his 2 free throws were crucial. That was the only point in the game I was worried about Big Mo switching to Georgetown, but I think those 2 free throws prevented that from really happening.
Is there any chance we see that happen at times the rest of this season to give the guards an extra breather. Maybe a lineup with Isaiah, Desi, and Veer.
He's a beast. Desi is still my spirit animal. Could use to improve his dribble and hands, but the kid has ups and is a definite threat around the court.
