The 3rd place team in the Big East last year won the National Title. The BE has multiple teams/programs in the Upper tier and several in the middle tier as annual NCAA tourney contenders. But for the league to be considered for the top spot each year, the bottom of the league has to be better so it doesnt drag down the metrics.
With Georgetown and St Johns having new elite coaches it's a good start. DePaul has to be better - they bring down the league every year. Butler and Seton Hall have good histories but have to improve financial support to get better footing in the new landscape.
