Spoke to a STONG Rutgers source yesterday morning and here's what I was told.....

2. Major booster Greg Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Motorola Solutions is working behind the scenes to get Hobbs released ASAP
3. Hobbs will not hire Greg Schiano thus the issue
4. That's why despite the fact that Hobbs has given the Ledger almost unlimited access to the FB program they still saw fit to attack him via the softball incidents. It was simply a matter of adding fuel to the fire.
Hobbs' response to them was to a degree understandable as he feels betrayed.
5. When and if this expected release happens it will be a major boon to the FB program and a hit to Pikiell and his program. No one was more supportive of Pikiell than Hobbs.
6. This will be but another contract that Rutgers has to pay as they continue to piss away money through their athletic department trying to make the right hires.
