You can just feel the electricity building for this game against Xavier. Playing a top 5 team
that is coming off dismantling the #1 team in the nation adds to the anticipation.
The good news is that this team seems to play at a higher level when there is a lot of energy
in the building(Wichita St, Nova, Gtown) and not as much when the atmosphere is flat(Creighton&Butler).
So that bodes well for Seton Hall.
We probably can expect the Pirates to come out and play in your face defense. That's something they can control. They have to be careful not to commit silly fouls because they are overzealous in those first few
minutes. The bigger concern for me will be how they play offense early in the game. If they come out with focus and don't turn the ball over it could very well be there day. Xavier is going to be steady and this is not a must win scenario for them. So the energy and atmosphere will either make Seton Hall a very tight team or it will propel them to play at a high level.
Xavier is an excellent team and may really be the best team in the BigEast Conference and legit top 5-10 rank. They are a better home team I'd say, but still have enough talent and experience to make your life miserable in
you own building. Hopefully, the Pirates play up to their skillsets and use the energy to their advantage and not
let it drain them before the game is even played. Let this finally be OUR DAY! GO PRATES!!
