Remember how awful DMV used to be. It took a day to do anything. Now it takes no time.
Christie Whitman privatized DMV to cronies. No invensment made. It got worse and worse. McGreevey took it back, got them decent internet and basic stuff, and now it works like a charm.
My SS check is never late.
If govt ran healthcare, our standard of health may reach the the levels of those european countries. Heaven forbid. Imagine us if we had a problem with spasms, and were sent to a spa in the mountains for a week free of charge to get better. Move to France and find out. My wifes best friend has lived in Paris for forty years. They crack up when they hear about our health system.
Gvt is no panacea. Specially here where we will argue about 2 plus 2 depending on who says it. But our healthcare system is below average in everything but cost.
Glad I am on the other side of 65. Cause I firmly believe we are broken and cannot be fixed. One of my fave songs asks where are the strong, who are the trusted? Well, they aint in govt. The states that live off the wealth of the rich states want to do what they can to hurt us. Amazingly unfair tax law designed to punish states who are not repub. The assinie stuff this disgrace Mcconnell is about. And the dems run their stuff like they would have trouble uniting if running against a ticket of Hitler and Beelzebub.
I said it here years ago. The idea of FOX News is awful, the way so many bought the fake news, drive by media stuff. They had no idea it could be so successful, but we are actually stupider than they thought. The drive by media kicked the guy who was the most successful lib out of office over Vietnam. It was so powerful that Nixon and Reagan both had the most overwhelming victories in memory. Now trump. Are you f'ing kidding me. Why not PT Barnum's ghost? He was a clown as a biz man; he is the Michael Jordan of Chapter 11s, and HE is the biz man we finally elect. Cause he had a good TV show. And has no shame, growing up under the guidance of cretans like Roy Coyn. He's he only biz genius who would be richer if he never worked and let his Dad's empire and money grow on its own.
