A very unique and, I think, underappreciated actor. She took on a lot of quirky roles but was always very good.

She just had her 75th birthday the other day.

RIP. According to her obit she was discovered at a house party she threw with her then husband. One of the guests worked for Robert Altman and the rest is as they say history.

Yup, saw her on a clip on TV last night. Altman saw her and asked her to be in a movie. She said I am not an actress. He said oh yes you are.
