Fascinating NIL Situation

Interesting development. Because NCAA athletes now have an economic stake in playing college ball via NIL, a federal judge ruled that a State (e.g. University of Illinois) cannot unilaterally suspend a player charged with rape unless the player is afforded due process through an impartial hearing.

Which essentially means that players will have free reign to do whatever as the process of a court case can take months to be heard.

That is not good.

A possible solution is to offer binding arbitration prior to disciplinary action taken by a state school against a player. It's getting ridiculous.
