My top three:

3) 2003 - "Sixth man" game. "Seton Hall used a couple of extras to beat Georgetown in a Big East basketball game — overtime and a sixth man on the court".

2) 1992 - "Bryan Caver dribbled the length of the floor and scored a layup with three-tenths of a second left in overtime to give Seton Hall a 73-71 Big East Conference victory over No. 18 Georgetown".

1) 1989 - "Seton Hall (13-0) remained unbeaten by overcoming a 9-point second-half deficit to defeat Georgetown, 94-86, before 19,761 boisterous fans at Byrne Meadowlands Arena."

Maybe we'll get 19,761 at the Rock on Sat. And maybe they'll all be wearing lobster costumes.

can't believe I forgot to include the Big East Championship game in 1991 where they Hall went on to defeat Dikeme Mutombo, Alonzo Mourning and Georgetown, 74-62, in the title game. and I was at the game and on the court when the celebration started.

Not even close. By far the loudest SHU game I have ever attended. My ears were bleeding after the win.

The notable games are classics. And we cant forget the biggest college ahole I ever saw bumping his way thru our huddle when he fouled out in the Caver game.

Avent (Anthony was at the Rock Wed night and looks like he is 30) and Walker vs Mourning and Motumbo - my vhs of that game broke I watched it so often. In that game, Terry got knocked down by a hard foul and was lying across the baseline. You can see Mourning considering doing a Laetner to Terry, and you can see Anthony in the background with his look saying you best get that thought out of your mind but quick.

And we also have our upset of them on the day we honored the 89 team at the Rock.

Let's not forget the 1991 regular season game against G-town. It was a Saturday night game at Izod Center and I remember Jerry Walker doing an incredible job on Mourning. It was the 3rd big win in a row and got the team on a roll.

Greatest game in Seton Hall history. That was the time where the arena was as good as Duke, UNC, Michigan, Syracuse. It was truly our ALI-Frazier game.

For our fans that weren't there, picture almost every seat occupied by the pre-game intros. I remember the scalpers outside the Meadowlands hawking tickets. Students read large
newspapers when GTown players were being introduced and Yelled "Who Cares" whenever a Gtown player's name was called. Lol.

We had some other great games against Ohio St, UNC and Syracuse with huge crowds. Our games with Syracuse were epic(we usually lost very close games) and there would be thousands and thousands of Cuse fans wearing Orange. Still none of them could match that one night against GTown. The comeback was awesome that night. I'd say our Michael Cooper(not the one from the Lakers) stood up to the GTown Bullies and changed the dynamic of the game. That's what I remember from the game itself.

Most electric atmosphere I've experienced at hoops game. And I remember the weather wasn't great that night, yet folks didn't care - it was still packed early.
