Uconn is more talented and a better team than Seton Hall but it is the way that Seton Hall played especially on defense that was as Sha said embarrassing . We would still lose to Uconn but if we played decent D it would not have been a 30 point slaughter . There is no defense to the lack of defense .
I replayed the first 10 minutes of the game and here is what I saw and what Raf make some comments on .
First basket . Davis watched the ball and loses Castle for an easy basket
Second basket. Richmond loses Castle in pick and roll .
Third basket. Good D but Uconn scores .
Fourth basket. Bediako loses Clingan on pick and roll .
Fifth basket. Bediako loses Johnson on pick and roll and Johnson passes to Diarra for layup . Diarra was open because Richmond watched the ball and not Diarra who cut to the basket .
Sixth basket . Hutchins-Everett loses Johnson on pick and roll .
Next play . Hutchins-Everett loses Johnson on pick and roll and fouls Johnson .
Seventh basket . Bediako loses Clingan on pick and roll .
All those easy uncontested layups in the first 10 minutes and it continued for the next 30 minutes . You can't make it that easy on a good team like Uconn . This was a lack of fundamentals .
