Many of us Pirate fans watched our two coaches, Tony Bozzella and Kevin Willard get destroyed in person by DePaul and Creighton respectively at home.

Neither game was close (despite Tony's team's late run) and frankly both squads were clearly over matched.

Friday the Bozzella's went on the road and won wire to wire avenging the team's worst loss of the season.

Last night the Willard's did likewise with a near wire to wire blowout against a team that handed the Pirates it's worst loss of the season.

Each SHU team won in front of a large and boisterous crowd wanting to explode. Both coaches deserve major kudos for that effort.

I agree. Saw both games. KW has turned the corner right before our eyes. This team is also growing up more quickly than expected. Without the "upperclassmen" they have been able to form their own culture within the group. This could be a real rebuilding process starting to bear fruit

They're playing now like I expected next season. Let's hope it continues.

I agree. As an aside, the Board is much more enjoyable to read without the personal attacks among the posters. The discussion topics are also interesting and stimulate the type of chatter that cause me to login and see what is going on. Keep up the good effort.

Let's hope Tony and the team wins this afternoon out in Marquette and makes for a nice Midwestern trip/sweep for the University.

Yeah, the fear is always a letdown with a road game coming so quickly on the heels of a major win.

This Friday?Sunday scheduling is tough on BE Womens' Basketball teams.
I understand the reasons but it's tough to bounce back 36 hours later.

Gotta finish the Midwest Victory Tour at Marquette today.

Great responses by both teams. Both DePaul and Creighton got hot and shot the lights out on our courts and we handled it poorly. Both avenged their worst games of the season and says a lot about both squads.

Especially playing in Illinois and then Wisconsin.
