Former Patrick School PG Marquis Nowell earns 3rd Team All-American

Can't say I saw this coming watching him in HS. At about 5'5" 160 pounds he could always play but was more of a scorer than a point guard. Had a solid 3 years at Arkansas-Little Rock but really took it up a notch in his 5th year at Kansas State. Developed into a leader for the NCAA 3-seed. He's 2nd in the Nation in Assist Rate averaging 16.8 points & 7.6 assists.

I'd like to see Sha find a quick, veteran PG to contrast with Kadary and allow him to play off the ball more. I really liked the dynamic we had when Aiken and Kadary were both healthy early last season.

Yes I believe that Willard preferred Anthony Nelson that year. Lol. Willard’s outlook on point guards was awful.

Speaking of small 5th year guards, Darius McGhee is giving Nova fits. Has 26 points in a 56-50 game.
