Seton Hall winning games on the court, 5 straight NCAA Tournaments and consistently finishing in the top 3 of the BE Conference has to start paying off in landing recruits. Then all the Seton Hall players that are returning to SHU to finish their eligibility, each stressing their close relationship with Coach Willard (referring to him as a father figure) on and off the court is another strong selling point to landing recruits. Each player also points out the close relationship they have with their fellow teammates in their reason to return for another year. (We really have a family atmosphere at SHU, both on and off the court). We also have a strong record of helping players succeed off the court in their academic studies. We need to point this out to potential future recruits and especially their parents, because after their basketball careers end they have their education. All these points need to be stressed to potential recruits and their families. (How many D1 schools have been to 5 straight NCAA Tournaments and also have our team academic performance over the last 5 yrs)
