George Washington transfer Kethan Savage is headed to Butler, sources told ESPN.com.
Savage will have one year of eligibility after sitting out the 2015-16 season. He left the Colonials last week, with coach Mike Lonergan saying Savage expressed an interest in playing "point guard full time." Savage is capable of playing both backcourt positions and could start alongside Tyler Lewis after Kellen Dunham leaves next spring.
A 6-foot-3 guard from Fairfax, Virginia, Savage started 25 games this past season, averaging 11.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He averaged 12.7 points as a sophomore.
Savage is the second transfer addition for Butler this offseason, joining former Saint Bonaventure guard Jordan Gathers, who will be eligible immediately next season after graduating in December.
