Rutgers cornerback Darian Dailey is arrested for robbery with a firearm in Florida.

Rutgers cornerback Darian Dailey was arrested in Florida over the weekend after he and an accomplice allegedly robbed a man who was riding a bicycle at gunpoint.

Dailey, 19, and 20-year-old Trazelle Johnson approached the man around 2 a.m. on Sunday, demanding money from him while brandishing a handgun. The victim, who wasn’t hurt in the stickup, identified the vehicle to cops, who later tracked down Dailey and Johnson and arrested them. Both were charged with robbery with a firearm, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported. Dailey is currently out on $150,000 bond, according to the Manatee County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office; Johnson remains in custody.

"We are aware of the situation and are gathering facts. Once those facts are gathered, we will take the appropriate action,” Rutgers coach Kyle Flood said in a statement to NJ.com.

Dailey, from Bradenton, Fla., was a red-shirt freshman for Rutgers last season and is expected to compete for a starting role this fall. Football players were on break following final exams and are scheduled to return to Piscataway this week for the Scarlet Knights’ summer conditioning program.
