Of the top 5 countries in total deaths (over 2.1 million), 4 are in Americas (US, Brazil, Peru and Mexico). India is the other. Why?

In terms of deaths/100k, of the top 50 only 5 are in Africa, and the highest at 22. It’s been a year and a half. Why? Under reporting? Better natural immunity? Lower average life expectancy to start?

india residents do not follow social distancing, mask wearing, restrictions, whatsoever. cant be bothered. even if theres a legal order. sounds pretty similar to the problem areas of the US.
