I hate to break it to the chat. But what's happening today in that NYC is a direct result of global warming. We caused this! Please continue to stay indoors and where an N 95 of going outside. Thus will be a fairly common occurrence going forward.

I will stick listening to the experts?

Yes, AOC is my go to expert on all scientific matters.
It is how I learned about the global threat of bovine flatulence.
There is a cow pasture behind our house. Thanks to her, I now know to wear a hazmat suit and oxygen tank when I go outside.
I think we throw the word experts around pretty loosely. Meteorologists are now experts? Oh brother. The experts kept children home from school when they didn't have to. How many things were we told about the vaccines by experts that were proven untrue. The beauty of science is we continue to learn and in many cases what we know as science today will be proven wrong 200 years from now.Nope. Far from it. I listen to meteorologist and scientists. Is AOC your expert? If so, just wow.
You're a wacko/nut job!
If you’re not even the slightest skeptical that all of these fires across Canada started at the same time , shame on you
What experts are these exactly? Do you have any links? I'd be interested in reading have a forest fire is a climate phenomena. What is this authors credentials? Is she a meteorologist? A scientist? Note the top of the article that this is an opinion post.
I will stick listening to the experts? Please confirm this authors credentials. Thanks!

A lot did. That's a false statement. They didn't start at the same time.
Wildfires are not caused by climate change, they are part of Earth's natural cycles and are increasingly started by humans either intentionally or accidentally.

The fires have nothing to do with your climate change agenda.
You’re easy to dupe.
The perfect consumer for the Propagandists.
You can find anything you want to find in a google search. I just found an article that says global warming is not causing wild fires. Who is right? Who is wrong? You can simply use Google to find this information. There are plenty of resources out there that confirm the heat and droughts caused by global warming are increasing the amount of wild fires throughout the world. And unfortunately, this might be a new normal for us this summer. Canadian wild fires don't peak until July.
Sure, but if we were that concerned why don't we have people going through these forests and removing dead trees. We can limit them from getting worse if we did that. That's a small simple, job creating change. We don't do the little things and we expect the big things to be done. That is true. Wildfires existed before we were here and will continue after we are gone. Forest fires are not a part of global warming. With that said, forest fires getting worse IS a part of global warming. A warming earth creates a more favorable environment for the fires to thrive and get worse than they may have otherwise been.
There are plenty of studies on this topic.
I don't have an agenda. Global warming is real. And the seriousness of wild fires are a result of global warming

We do.
This just sounds like a problem that can be treated with more jobs. Imagine instead of 87000 new IRS agents, we had 87000 new workers keeping the earth clean. Not to mention This just happened in Canada. Not exactly a mecca of heat. It's not really simple due to the magnitude and along with warming comes the potential for more drought and more dead trees which only makes this get worse as time goes by and the earth gets warmer.

Obviously we need to do better.

Your entire thread is false. How come you haven't addressed any of my other statements. You know the ones that say global warming doesn't cause wild fires.Huh? This statement about 87000 new IRS agents is 100% fals.
You know the ones that say global warming doesn't cause wild fires.
Then tell us how forest fires themselves are a huge sign of global warming as you claimed earlier.Global warming has caused an increase in the seriousness of wild fires and the number of wild fires due to the increase of droughts in the world.
So you don't have any that you were basing your opinion on. OK, interesting. You can simply use Google to find this information. No! I'm pretty sure this is the first forest fire in New Jersey… ever!!!In other news we are seeing wild fires in NJ a lot more frequently now. Do you remember forest fires in NJ 20 years ago? Even 10 years ago? I don't. Global Warming!
