Yes, a lot of angst about a season gone awry going on; I'm looking at it this way-up until the Prov away TO fest, we were playing pretty darn good BBall.
Okay, bad game in RI [thought process going forward, let's get straightened out at home vs DeP and all will be fine!]
Bang! We let DeP dictate terms last Sat, don't bound [at all], don't play D [at all], lose to those guys, again!
First of all, they're not bad, better then they've been in quite a while, so a less than quality effort vs DeP will put you in trouble against them. Which is what we produced.
But now, that ship has sailed-we must look ahead. Of course, immediately ahead is who else but Villa, in their place, no less. But, you know what, they've won 3 Nat Titles over the last little while, and, each of those yrs, they've lost 2-4 league games in those seasons.
They are currently undefeated in League play-if they watch the last 2 SHall tapes, they may think they've got a gimme-who knows?
Can Seton Hall stun the world 1 more time? A famous Jackie Gleason quote-Oh! How Sweet it is!
But, I must be realistic here; as much as I will be rooting for the above scenario[and having my wife and family watching loyally on Sunday-and they are all SH fans], I must say this- regardless of the result of the VU contest on Sun, much more important to our eventual success[or failure] this season will be on Wed vs Prov, at home.
A W on Wed gives us a positive push in league play, and a step back in the right direction. That's what the guys need right now, some positive reinforcement.
Hey, let's compete vs VU on Sun, and darn it if we're in it late, let's knock them down! But, let's make sure to take care of business [which we didn't do vs DeP] against Prov on Wed.
I think a W on Wed will get us back on track!
