2nd time they have tried to do a marquee opening weekend game overseas or at an outside venue (cuse-sdsu)

just put games back in the states, i wish they would bring back the directv great 8, that had a good little run in it

Why did they call it? Pitt has gotta be pissed
the floor was a slip n slide, remember shu's maui trip? when it was humid in the gym and people were cramping? this was worse, kid from pitt face planted, got a gash; espn wants to spend big money to go to asia for 2 games and the court is in that shape

pitt had a good first half and i know zaga lost their entire backcourt but man their frontcourt is so sick, good ooc games this season so we'll see where they are at by mid dec

Rescheduled for Iceland on January 1st at an open air arena to avoid humidity problems.

Agree. College kids during the semester should not be traveling to Asia. Too long of a trip that takes them too far away from class. This is not the NBA.

Ya know, normally I would agree with you. But this is a once in a lifetime experience for these players. In this situation I think making an exception is not a bad thing.

Call me cranky but I've had more than my fill of games in odd places like on aircraft carriers, outdoor venues etc.
Ditto for the NFL games in London. Makes me nuts.

That is a very good point. It's a beautiful country and I toured around for a few days and really enjoyed it on a business trip a few years back.

In some circles that's considered an admission against interest! lol

you can hate it all you want (I do as well) but the PAC-12 is doing this for the foreseeable future. There will be another PAC-12 China game next season with Stanford taking on Harvard. Hopefully Bill Walton won't be invited back to do color. Completely ruined the Washington/Texas game.

It's shocking that games on aircraft carriers and in tiny gyms with 90% humidity create conditions that force games to get cancelled. Shocking.

Play basketball in facilities built for basketball or where you can control the physical conditions (like football domes). It's not that hard.
