Impressive win against Creighton - good to see Ish and Delgado involved in the offense. Rodriguez had 10 rebounds - overall great job by the bigs on the boards - on both the offensive and defensive glass.

Whitehead had a good game - shot 4-6 from 3 (shared the ball well -six assists and five turnovers - would like to see turnovers limited a bit more)

Let's remember that Creighton's center Groselle only played 8 minutes yesterday - he badly turned his ankle. Reminder: Marquette and Georgetown's size will challenge us at home. Our guys have got to bring all they have to beat Marquette with their two trees - Ellenson had 32 points against Butler. Same against GT. Win the battle of the boards: win the game! Our defense sets the tone - if this continues we should finish at least 9-9 in the league.

It hasn't happened often with KW but Saturday night the half court offense looked pretty good.

Times a changing?

You are right about their center going down , but Both DG and KC played subpar games and we still were up by 20 at one point and basically maintained a 15 point lead throughout the second half.

I thought SHU played perhaps their best game of the season. Whitehead really looked good and Delgado and Sanogo controlled the boards. Carrington who I think is your best player did not have his best game but your team still played outstanding. Gordon wasn't quite as good as his last few games but SHU just out toughed Creighton from the very beginning of the game until the end. I would think you guys should be NCAA bound unless something unforeseen takes place. At least you guys have things to look forward to.

The half court offense didn't look good to me on Saturday. It was still very disjointed, and did not create enough open shots. Too much one on one. That said, offensive rebounding was (and has been) the ultimate equalizer for this team. When you rebound 45% your misses (like our guys did on Saturday), you can afford to take difficult shots. Pittsburgh used to make a living with that style.

"Let's hold serve"? Ouch. Did you have to remind me that Federer once again failed to hold serve against Djokovic? Our win Saturday had helped me to forget that.

Knights, hope your doing well. I haven't been on the RU board at all. It is way too depressing for me. Do you think RU will get another W this year? I do appreciate your loyal fans although some still think the BE will fade into the sunset in a few years and that annoys me to no end. These moves were the right ones for both schools.

The parts of the game that I watched had a better halfcourt offense than I've seen from SHU in quite some time. I thought there was that one segment where Gordon struggled from inside and outside. He had several scoring chances, but was having an off night. So between that and trying to protect a large lead in front of 18,000 on the road it did get spotty towards the end. IW and Desi did enough to make sure SHU came away with the victory.

The guards need to get the ball inside to Delgado and have confidence that he can score in the last stages of these close games. That doesn't mean he shoots every time he catches in the paint, but he has ability to get quality shots, especially as some of these defenders get worn down.

Proff, It is exactly 21 months today that my wife passed away from cancer. Last February I found out I had lymphoma. I have completed 6 months of chemotherapy and am doing as well as I can. I try to get to as many games as possible between RU and Linden. I have had season tickets at RU for ages with my son. RU is in a very bad place right now but I think they will win a few more games this season. In fact I am hoping they can upset Illinois on Wednesday. I might attend the Linden-RC game tomorrow night at RC. I saw them beat Chatham (they were 14-0) yesterday by 16 at Morris CC.

I have complained bitterlyabput our half court offense under Willard, but I thought it worked very well Saturday. The kids semed to move more without the ball, Whitehead was looking to pass more often than he has in other games and there was just more of a flow. It was a pleasure to see. Here's hoping it stays...but we were helped by Creighton's defense which is ranked 196th in opponents' field goal percentage.
