No, not Derrick, Eron.
SHU could have gotten him in the fall if they wanted. Eron wanted to commit but there was disagreement on the staff.
Eventually it was decided that his talents were duplicated by Carrington and Powell so the coaches went in a different direction.
I have been told that Butler is now the favorite and we could be seeing Eron in the Big East matched up against us in a different shade of blue.

Strengths:
Gordon is a shooting guard that is an excellent scorer and can also help at the point because of his passing, play making and feel for the game. Gordon excels on the break and gets to the rim in the halfcourt from a variety of areas. Gordon can also know down the spot up three in transition or on the side of dribble penetration. Gordon also is a good rebounder for a guard and capable of defending both guard positions as well.
Weaknesses:
Gordon is strong for his size but will need to continue to add strength. He also must continue to work on his mid range range and develop his defense away from the ball all in which he is very capable. Gordon's must also continue to work on his point guard skills in order to continue to improve when playing on the ball and getting teammates involved.
Bottom Line:
Gordon is an attacking guard that can make scoring plays with the ball in his hands in addition to hitting the open three. He can help at the point but he is at his best off the ball attacking which makes him a high major minus prospect with an opportunity to move up giving his upside.
