Went out of his way on media row to ask SHU if they could bring walkon Mike Dowdy to the post game presser after hitting his first shot for the Hall.

They did and the young man was beyond thrilled. Said hitting the long jumper was the biggest BB moment of his life.

Great job Jerry and great job Mike.

He was surrounded by about 10-15 media people and he was beyond thrilled.

You could see he was busting with pride. Especially when told that earlier in the season Willard noted that he was one of the best walkons he ever had.

Carino is by far the best friend SHU, and NJ bball in general, has. I almost always agree with his opinions re: the nat'l scene when he gives us his AP Top 25 list, so he clearly knows the larger game well too. Seems like a great guy and this is just another thing that confirms it.
