It looks like this virus is far from over, folks. We will be hunkering down way into 2021 and probably 2022.

This clown has been peddling fear and panic for almost a year. I pay no attention to him.

What is so controversial or wrong about what he said? He said without people getting vaccinated deaths will continue for the next 5 to 6 months meaning May. This is such an obvious logical statement yet Shu09 wants to dispute that. We need to have a high rate of vaccination so that deaths will subside.

What you say is highly likely and probably highly avoidable if we had someone in higher levels of government promoting healthy lifestyles. Instead lines are ridiculous at McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, and all of the other places where we should be avoiding. Just as important as wearing the mask is eating a healthy diet, working out and doing all of the things necessary to better your immune system. But we hear 1,000 times a day to wear a mask and nothing promoting a healthy lifestyle to strengthen your immune system. At the same time we have governors keeping liquor stores open when the WHO has been clear that alcohol will weaken your immune system and put you at higher risk of getting covid.

US government/media/elites have no interest in true public health. The entire system is set up to keep people sick and have a diagnosis/pill for everything. Keeps the big pharma gravy train flowing. If there were far fewer sick people (and there would be if Americans exercised and ate right), there wouldn't be a huge pharma/insurance/healthcare industry. That's what it's all about in the American system.

The death rate from Covid will continue for years.

Hello. That is correct. The government wants people to be masked up. We will be wearing masks unfortunately for the rest of our lives. A huge power grab by our government. And some people on this board fail to realize that.

Maybe you’re right. We don’t have a crystal ball. I know I don’t but I do know you have stats handy. What’s the death rate?

Yes. I do know inside knowledge. The latest death rate in the US provided by my contact is 1.8%.

Also a 1.8% death rate is way too high for a disease like covid. So what's your point? You seem like you have a lot of stats handy too.

Not sure where this argument is coming from? However, I'll play. Wasn't Bloomberg criticized for limiting the size sodas especially by Republicans? Again the same old taking away choice and limiting liberties argument. Does that sound familiar? Didn't Michelle Obama get criticized by Republicans for her healthy eating program?

In my organization, they offered discounts to gym memberships if you show up to the gym 8 times a month. Guess what, very low participation. It is a nice idea promoting healthy living. But like anything else, moderation is the key. You don't have to give up McD's. Just limit it to once a month and eat some healthy meals and exercise. But it is usually an all or nothing deal which makes it difficult for people.

Quite frankly, I am glad they left liquor stores open. At least I can have my wine with dinner. It made for enjoyable meals during this pandemic. And, by the way, red wine is good for you. And like anything else in life, in moderation.

Not sure where the argument came from? You’re talking about deaths from Covid. Most doctors are saying the people dying have other major health issues. The overwhelming majority of people dying are not healthy people who got Covid. if we stop the other issues we will have a better chance to lower the number of deaths. Very simple logic.

No Michelle Obama got criticized by food lobbyists. They poured money in to shut her up and she did. Michelle Obama didn’t shut her mouth because Republicans criticized her. LOL that’s funny.

Wine is not good for you. You’ve been sold garbage by the so called Heath experts in this country, many of which are obese. Wine has 1 good property and about 10 bad properties but the American public is sold the one good property and not the 10 bad ones. Not saying I don’t enjoy some alcohol but I’m not under the delusion that any amount of alcohol is good for you. That’s just dumb. It hurts your immune system, end of story,

Here is the Republican criticism. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/first-lady-responds-critics-school-lunch-nutrition-guidelines.

As far as wine goes, there are studies that say light to moderate consumption boosts the immune system. .Quite frankly, there is no definitive answer. So it really isn't end of story. There are contradictory studies on both sides of the equation. I enjoy it and I will continue to drink. It makes my life more enjoyable. Again, my philosophy - moderation is good in wine consumption as it is in politics.

Lol there’s studies out there funded by Coca-Cola that shockingly those studies show whats in their best interest. It would be interesting to see who funded those studies. I'll bet the wine industry never funds such a study. lmao

Was it under Michelle Obama's plan that Amy Klobuchar announced pizza is a vegetable because they use tomato sauce?
