I think he probably does.

He will either negotiate with dems to get them on board with his bid or do enough to get the holdout republicans. I am sure the latter would be much more preferable to the party overall so that should be enough to get him there.

I'm not a fan of the Jeffries pick though. Maybe there is something behind the scenes that gives the party confidence, but I don't really see it.

The only two reasons why he was picked: 1) He's black. 2) He's a progressive, which will continue to move the party further to the left.

Dems are always more interested in checking boxes than anything else.

I agree, and he is in the middle from my view. He just doesn’t seem to be a strong leader for the party in my opinion.

I am sympathetic for your desire to want those to be the same sentences with the same implications, but they really aren't.

I'm not a fan of Jeffries and do think he went over the top in his comments.
No need for the comparisons though. It doesn't make republicans look any better when democrats are jackasses at times too.

Exactly, they are all one and the same no good guys or bad guys. Mostly all bad. They treat the American people like fools, while dividing the country. We need to wake up, they are never going to hold anyone in their club accountable because every one of them is guilty of something. Power and money.
