Once the PKs reached 4-3 VT, any miss by SHU until Nota would have knocked SHU out of the tournament.

Our first 2 NCAA games could not have had more drama. A goal to beat AF with 93 seconds left, and then in extra penalty kicks against VT.

Going into penalty kicks, I thought VT had the advantage just because their keeper was much bigger than Nota. Clemson actually switched keepers against Marshall going with the big keeper. Anyway, the penalty kicks we took we really tremendous. Almost all of them were in spots that were close to impossible to stop. What a great game.
