It almost went in. But if he drove the lane, he probably would have got the foul, if not a bucket.
The team and the coaches are the hero, never gave up..they kept bouncing back set back after set back. They could have easily given up (down by 13) against a very veteran team..This shows me the make up of a team getting better and better.
regardless of whether it went in or not, it was a terrible shot. 3 or 4 feet behind the line with 4 seconds to go. awful decision.
probabky Desi for me but Ish came up so big with his D. His stop against Baker, one of the top 2's in the country, towards the end was fantastic.
+100. Defense wins. The WSU turnovers were a result of the D. Rotations were much better in the second half. Desi and Ish had great second halfs as well.

Look at the replay. I looked at it a couple times. No one was open and he's had a penchant for hitting that deep 3. Not saying he didn't have a couple more seconds to penetrate and find something better but I'd say ease off IW He had a decent game and plays his ass off on defense.
he broke down Baker a bit the moment before he started the shot. He should have dribbled and gotten closer to the basket. He shot an extremely long three. I will never, ever like that shot from ANYONE unless you're JJ Reddick. That was just stupid decision-making. Don't try & defend it. He had time to get a much higher % shot off.
Ish was the unsung hero with his blocks & steals. Gordon also played great. but don't forget that Singh came off the bench to make two huge baskets - one in traffic plus that corner trey that gave us a lead.

You can't defend that three that IW took but I wonder if he knew how much time was on the clock. He had a hard time getting the ball over the line and seemed like he panicked a bit there. But he will learn from that play no matter what and know what to do next time. He took much better shots today and would have had more assists if we could finish inside - how many layups did we miss today?
The game sort of turned around when Derrick dove for the ball at halftime and we built up momentum after that. Seven straight points and we were back in the game. Until that point we seemed not able to break through. My vote is for Derrick although giving Desi some of "Mike's Special Stuff" at halftime certainly helped. Note: Space Jam reference.
No, actually he was benched because he was exhausted. I talked to him after the game and he said he could hardly breathe and had to come out.
Other than Desi I agree. In fact I was very surprised neither was chosen to appear in the player's presser after the game.
