Of those, the big donors didn’t pay all the money in one lump sum, it was probably promised in future installments. While the money was still in the hands of the donors, they admin could have reached out to those donors to say hey can you reduce the amount by this and send the remainder to our NIL fund. Then borrowed a little more money in bonds.

Yes and no but I agree with your sentiment. Direct NIL contributions are not tax deductible. That could certainly affect what a specific donor might do. And some donors may see the value of the practice facility and may not want to pay players directly. We get it, but everyone might not. Finally Seton Hall is not a risk taker or early adopter in any way (understatement of the year right there).

He's not helping his image or the image of our team. It's a flawed roster - not sure he will ever understand that. He needs to take a hard look at how he coaches and lighten up a little if he wants guys to come play for him and actually want to come here.

Agree the roster is flawed, but on top of that he and his staff did a really bad job of coaching them.

I commented on that last year. In his first 2 years, we had a fair amount of blowouts, but also got blown out a lot. As much as we talk about how he preaches defense, when things don't go their way on Offense, they let it affect their defense. While i know that tends to happen with teams, it should not happen to his teams that are incredibly offensively challenged (and hang their hat on Defense).

Anyway, my recommendation would be that we should do what Willard did after the Marquette blowout in the Big East Tournament in '15. They buried the box score. In this case, we should buy the team photo. Just a complete embarrassment of a year. We were 2 buzzer beater shots away from going 0-20.
