How good is this

For the first time since he's been here I am seeing a lighter more enjoyable side of Richmond. I am starting to get to know him better and am now seeing a young man that I did not see in years 1 & 2.

Now let's hope his enormous potential shines on the court this year. There is no SHU player that comes to mind re his style of play. Not sure I can say that about any other Pirate.

Big fan of Richmond and just love seeing him shine and have some fun. I have a really good feeling a loose and having fun Richmond equals a breakout year. If he brings it every night he has legit chance of being the Big East Player of the year in my opinion. He's a first rate stud player who can carry a team. He's a big reason I renewed my seats.

He’s writing a good story for himself. Can’t wait to see his transformation.

Reminds me in a way of Whitehead. Despite what everybody thought Isaiah Whitehead was, in reality he was a very shy kid. That at first was taken as arrogance when in fact he was just the opposite.

Kid has a heart of gold. Ruined his NBA career to help his mom who was working two jobs to support the family. Never wanted to leave SHU and Willard once told the media jokingly that after he left for the NBA he was on campus more than when he was enrolled.

I also found out that when he called Willard to tell him he was putting his name in the draft to help his family he cried throughout the conversation.

Just a high quality young man.

There are no guarantees and IW got a good financial deal for a second round pick. Will never know what would have been if he stayed. Hopefully, he banked some of that money to build on as he goes through life. Seems like he’s doing some really good stuff for the school and community.

It's kind of interesting when you look at of two of the three biggest (highly-rated) commits in the last 25 years in Whitehead and Sha: both NYC kids, both 5-star, McDonalds All American Recruits. They could have gone anywhere but they chose Seton Hall, and all these years later there are not two more former players that love the school more. When we are fighting for each and every recruit these days, that should be a huge point of emphasis.

Well said, and your point is terrific, though just to pick a nit that almost seems hard to believe, Sha committed to us 27 years ago.

Time certainly flies...

Totally agree - he oozes talent & this season needs to squeeze every ounce of it out the tube this year. If he stays healthy, as do Dawes and Dre, we will hold our own. That assumes our platoon at 5 does the same and we get solid contributions off the bench from Sanders, Coleman, NgaNga & Tubek.
