How is crowd

best crowd of the year, over 8K. if the students were there it would have been fantastic. Fans got loud at the end.
All things considered, I thought it was a very good crowd, given this was not going to be a game with juice. Missing the students. Still on break.
Also last time I checked it's not a movie theater, and I don't appreciate people yelling at my wife which happened today countless times. But I assume that's ok right?
No, it's not right, either. You're passionate, and I respect that. We did a thread on here on when to stand and when to not stand. For sure, even people who have a hard time standing (older people, women with young children on their lap) will understand people jumping out of their seat when Desi throws one down, or even standing for key possessions, end game, etc.
Announced attendance of 8,201. For an 11:00 AM Saturday morning game that's a very good number especially when you consider the students are not on campus.
Donnie- think we just have a little bit different opinion here and that's totally fine. Next time you're at a game let me know we can enjoy a beer together. In the end of the day we're all fans, lets beat nova!
This game had a Living Social $15 special, I know a few people who took advantage of this.
The upper rows behind the baskets & corners had people enjoying the discount with their kids as Christmas break comes to an end. Butler is also being offered on Living Social, and it sure would be great if there was enough interest to sell all of the discounted seats. Knowing that there would be virtually no student presence, it would've be nice to get those seats into the hands of some CYO leagues & generate some lifelong Pirate fans

Are you suggesting there's a right and wrong time to stand? Let the fans be fans. We need every advantage we can get.
Why do you think there's a need to have some sort of criteria for when and when not to stand? ( btw if I misinterpreted your post I apologize).
Aside from the cheap tix available when the box office opens on game day, you can use your Triple A card for a discount to any game that's equal to the Living Social discount.
