Hard to believe we are at a point where both the Men and Women's Basketball Programs
control their own destinies for NCAA bids. Who would have thought it possible after
last year's meltdown by the men and the graduation of several key players for the women. Both
programs host 2 home games each over the next several days. The women seem to have
righted their ship and certainly have 2 winnable games if they come to play. The men have 2 very
tough games and the spotlight is going to be on Prudential Center for both contests.
There are zero excuses for the Men's Team not to bring their A games. Beating Providence will give
the Pirates a real chance to finish 3rd. Creighton lost to Marquette and that has created even more separation.
We want to see Seton Hall just take it to Providence. Overwhelm them with defense. This is the game you
never let up. Try to outscore them by 20 points per half. Make a statement.
We really need a great atmosphere at The Rock this week. We need a big student turnout for the
Providence game before they go on break. The rest of the fans have to fluster Providence.
