Unless it was a typo, one report I read said it was only extended by 1 year? Either way, sounds more like a re-structuring with a higher AAV. Also just read some quotes from last month by DH that he wants to build a VCU or Gonzaga type program at URI and that he's excited about URI's prospects next year and even more two years from now. Doesn't sound like a guy who plans to go anywhere anytime soon but obviously a lot can change.

Too bad for St. John's. In my opinion, Chris Mullin would be a shaky hire. Surely there must be someone else.

A good point was made here or on the Trove about how Mullin's name won't carry the juice with today's high school kids that it would have years ago. Plus, how do you hire someone who has never coached, regardless of how great a player he was?

Masiello seems to be the other name coming up. I can't remember the specifics about his resume issue, but if he deliberately lied about something, seems like a red flag to me.

St. John's should open up the Vitamin Water vault and go get Bobby IMO.

Masiello lissue was about his graduation. He got 39 lashes with a wet noodle and completed his degree. All seems to have been forgiven.
