I can only imagine what this board would look like if this was SHU and not Rutgers

Let me see if I got this right. RU , a Division 1 school in the B1G , with 13 scholarship players is playing Rutgers -Newark a Division -3 school which has no scholarship players and RU is counting this game as a regular season game while Rutgers -Newark is counting it as an exhibition game. That's embarrassing !

And their board seems to not care AT ALL that this is a real game on their schedule. I think there are 3 posts about it on their schedule thread. Wow. RU fans might be more disillusioned than SHU fans.

Did we care when we did the same exact thing with California Baptist?

Last I checked our board usually flips about of weak schedule. Didn't we just have a whole schedule thread with people complaining about cupcakes and then people mentioning how it's better than previous years?

I know I am never happy with those teams. Maybe I'm wrong here.

I'm with you on that. Our schedule has been poor every year (for the most part) since Louis Orr was fired.

This year's schedule is better, but I don't see it anywhere near as good as some do.

What does it matter? Maybe we win 11 games now instead of 10. We have no post-season aspirations. If you notice the RU Basketball board there is not much reaction to anything.

Looks like the Rutgers men’s basketball team will have a good chance to avoid matching the program’s longest-ever losing streak.

Division III Rutgers-Newark announced Thursday that it will visit the Scarlet Knights Nov. 13, which is opening day for most Division I programs.

The Scarlet Knights ended last season with...........

So Rutgers truly is playing with itself!

I think the kean game is listed in our all time records...maybe largest margin of victory?

Those were terrible games to see on the schedule, but we didn't schedule them simply to avoid achieving some record level of ignominy.
Kean was scheduled as a favor to Bruce Hamberger who was Kean's head coach at the time and had been an assistant at Seton Hall during the PJ years.
