Good effort on the road, bad night form Whitehead but that will happen. I can stomach this loss no problem, lets get a win at Home vs. Wich State.

Needed this one. Didn't get it. Now we really need the Wichita State game and they are much better than GW. At least we get them at the Rock.

Could've stole this one from GW so that's disappointing. Other than that I'm good with the effort. Just couldn't get any shots to fall.

Not a bad loss but one you could hopefully win if you have NCAA hopes and dreams.

GW is a nice team but where would they finish in the BE? Not top 5 but probably around the 6-8 slot similar to Seton Hall.

It seemed like if we had any shots fall at all, we could have taken it. Oh well. I hope they figure out how to break a zone.

The play of the two supposed stars - Whitehead and Delgado - is too uninspiring. The others play pretty well.

We have a long way to go. We're not structurally sound in many ways. Maybe later in the season we win this kind of game.

Fair view and reasonable. I only am looking for the trend of growth at this point.

I must say, I am not feeling any anguish. I am not investing emotionally into this team, it would be unhealthy for sure, at this point. Just hoping for positives for the team.

Haha, to follow and support this program is probably unhealthy in and of itself given what's gone on here for the past 10 years, LOL.

Overall I thought the team showed positives. They need a lot of coaching and direction and we'll see if that happens. The contributions of Carrington, Ish, Desi, Nzei, that's all been good this year and continues to get better. The confounding part is Whitehead and Delgado. The two of the look lost and it's a concerning.

I wish I could sublimate my anger this way, but no luck so far. I didn't even feel this way during the Blaney days. Then again, the circumstances were rather different.

Not sure witch st is that much better. Was at the game. For a long stretch felt like GW was hitting everything no matter how good a D we put in front. Also with IW in foul trouble coach was subbing a lot more than usual. Think it took them out of any flow. Need to bounce back Saturday.

Good game to learn from. This loss doesn't hurt at all as it's likely that GW will remain a good team throughout the season.

I saw some of the same old things that plague us, but I also saw some toughness and resiliency in the face of a poor shooting night. I actually take more positives out of this game than negatives, although there is plenty this team still needs to work on.

The goal should now be to run the table in the out of conference schedule. The only team we have any business losing to is Wichita State, and that game is now a game we should win at home (if we think we're a good team) given their injury situation.

Get to 10-2 entering league play with three of the first four league games being very winnable.

Need to see how we can get better. Need the ball movement to improve, the intelligence to improve in terms of shot selection from our lead guard, and if the coach can keep them engaged all year.

I agree with 09. Run the table and let's get going.

This season is over. This team despite its talent cannot beat decent team. It is over and hopefully over for Willard.

Tough loss on the road. The team played hard and came from 9 down late. IW got into foul trouble and could never get into the flow of the game.

We can't hit from deep and that is going to make it very hard on Angel offensively. He's getting his rebounds but only getting limited offensive opportunities due to double teams and defenses packing it in. Make some 3s and the assist total goes up and the inside opens up but shooting from deep is not a strength for this team.

Our rebounding, especially on the offensive glass looked good but we missed a lot of easy shots right at the rim early. Carrington is coming into his own. Tremendous. Let's get Rutgers.

That's ludicrous. Seriously, with all the other things you could do with your life, why would you come to this board if you are an anti-fan at heart?

I understand people's frustration that we lost but what did you expect? Everyone knew, except for a handful of delusional fans, that this team was going to have growing pains. We start 5 sophomores and have no bench.

Glad everyone accepts moral victories. Give me a break, This team will be in the bottom half of the league. Maybe it makes the NIT. NIT is suppose to get everyone excited. My expectations for a coach in his 6th year are vastly higher than I know that the administrations is. First 2 games at the Rock and they can't even get half the bottom level filled (I don't want to hear 7000 paid but 3000 didn't show). Nonsense, There is just no juice, buzz, anything with this program. Willard just can't figure it out in this league. If you think this defense is bad now wait til we play Nova, Butler, and X. Gonna be another lost year in the league.

So you were expecting a top 5 Big East finish this year? I find that hard to believe. Just look at the teams in this league. There was no way we were going to be better than Villanova, Xavier, Georgetown or Butler. NO. WAY. Maybe I'll give you Providence. MAYBE. But they have one of the best players in the country.

Hopefully Ish is back sooner than later. Him and Nzei are basically the heart of the team.

Desi is the best 3 we've had in a long time, though come to think of it he's one of the only 3's we've had in a long time. I'm not really understanding why a hurt Singh is getting late game minutes over him when he's pretty much invisible on offense at this point but I'm not a basketball coach.

Carrington is really coming into his own. I was not expecting him to be this good this quick.

Only thing I'll say about Whitehead is that he needs to realize he has talent around him and stop trying to force everything. He is a smart player as evidenced by his time playing in the 1st half with two fouls, he just needs to play more in the flow of the game imo.

Delgado needs to touch the ball more point blank, period. His hook shot is effective and he is the only post-up threat on the team. We need to get him engaged in the game more.

What I do know is Wilard ain't getting this team in the top half of this league. Willard has ONE top 50 RPI on the road in his career at the Hall. Not neutral site games, true road games. Just let that sink in. ONE. And it was his 1st year here where they won at Syracuse (Hazell played out of his mind that night) and remember that was with Gonzo's players. So I'm tired of the moral victory nonsense. Willard beats up on the cream puffs, wins a few games at home vs better teams in the league, teams get crushed every February, and NEVER ever beats any good teams in the league on the in road. The numbers don't lie. But it's always an excuse with this program.

And how long are you a member of this board and you are going to call me out? No. I have been a fan since I was a freshman in 1985 and have attended 95 % of all home games since then. Not bad for an Anti-fan huh.

I have had 6 years of Willard to know how this story ends. And it won't be in the NCAA Tournament. And after all, that is all what matters.

I think everyone is saying the same thing but you are confusing big picture expectations (i.e. Year 6 of a rebuild) with current team expectations. I expected by year 6 that this program would be positioned well enough to make the NCAA tournament. However based on the makeup of the current roster I expect this team to make the NIT.

Of course we all want this team to be better than they are, and we expected by year 6 that we would be much further along than we are. But the fact of the matter is that we are the 6th/7th best team in the league and it's unrealistic to expect an undisciplined team starting 5 sophomores with no bench to be a top 5 BE/NCAA tournament team.
