Now you know why I strongly dismissed his nonsense here last year. Posse my butt. Never saw one once and I guarantee you I have a ton more access to SHU than he does.

Not a good look by Hague, who actually has been a credible writer for a long time. But this is very unbecoming...
You know when this came out last year a bunch of people said he was a credible writer. I have always read all the sports articles in SI, various local newspapers etc and follow sports very closely and never heard of him. I did some research on him and he is nothing more than a journeyman sports writer who has wrote for some local newspapers (sometimes pro sometimes HS sports) but seemed to jump around a lot. He did write a book on James Braddock. Credible? I'm not so sure he's any more credible than a lot of sportswriter hacks. He announces the RU football games - big deal. I've read some of his articles and I don't think he's all that. He's no Jerry Izenberg that is for sure.
Bryan was the one defending Whitehead in that Twitter argument... And not only is he a Seton Hall grad, he made an extremely smart career switch in becoming a school teacher.

He's never been a national guy, but he's someone whose byline you could trust. He was also very briefly the SID at Jersey City State, about 15 years ago, but I'm not sure what happened to that.
Like James J. Braddock, Hague is a Jersey City guy through and through, so I guess he figured he had agency to write that one. I never knew that.
Hague doe not announce Rutgers football games, though. I think that's Joe Nolan.
Fair, although if you follow Zach Brazillier on Twitter, I can understand wanting to simply contradict him out of spite. I have no idea what he's like in person, but he's a really unlikable Twitter presence.
Got to agree here. I interned for Bryan more than a couple years ago and he's as loyal a Hall guy as they come. He was just caught in the middle of this. Hague, for the record, is wrong about pretty much everything he's arguing here.
Proving my point that he is a hack! I mean argue something based on statistics and facts vs. just being a jerk for jerk's sake. Its great that he recanted but what an idiot!
Twitter sometimes becomes a place where adults go to act like spoiled children. Don't know Hague or his work, but what he said about IW last year bordered on character assassination.
Fact is, we expect journalists to be a little more thoughtful in what they write. They are supposed to be professional writers and have journalistic standards. He is spouting off about stuff he later admits he didn't know. Kind of dumb in my book.
I don't think he ever admitted that. In any event there was fire last year he just found the wrong source. The posse that's was problematic was more family related
