Italian police said on Sunday they had arrested 12 people including the leaders of the extreme right-wing party Forza Nuova, after clashes in Rome a day earlier over a government drive to make the COVID-19 "Green Pass" mandatory for all workers.

the restrictions now are a play for govt to maintain control and to push the narritive that covid is causing mayhem and widening the wealth gap. its not. its manufactured restrictions and its crushing 90% of americans.

i wouldnt be surprised if there was some sort of revolution if the trend blows up

It's conditioning the population to give up their freedoms and become entirely dependent on the state. That's the long game here. They will pivot to global warming next (or climate crisis or whatever fancy name they come up with next). Same playbook - appeal to human emotions that their lives are directly threatened by this invisible enemy (a virus, warming climate, etc.). An enemy that can't be specifically defined or tracked so everyone has to give up their freedom to fight it for the "greater good." They're banking on most people to comply "just in case" the worst might happen to them. Remember "we're all in this together" and "abundance of caution?" Same thing.

It's why they get angry at and shame the 20% or so of the population who won't take the vaccine. It's why they censor and shame "climate deniers." It's why the term "conspiracy theory" is used to describe anything that doesn't mesh with the mainstream narrative.

A frightened, submissive population is government's wet dream. A free thinking society that lets the private sector and individualism thrive is not good for big government.
