After the meltdown last year, have been playing it cautiously so far this year.

Screw Nova. They were superior at home, but I liked the fight from our Pirates. Execution wasn't always there, but the cohesiveness and the fight were. Overmatched but not intimidated.

Looking forward to the rest of the BE Season and the hosting Nova.

We have the best aggregate underclassmen in the league. Not even close.

Go Pirates.

I agree. I take more positives than negatives from this game, one we had a 1 in 10 chance of winning.

I'm cautiously optimistic about a potentially dominant year from us next season if the kids all stay together. That relentless toughness, vastly defense and the additional 3 point shooting from Powell & an older Singh have me kinda pumped. Gotta make the tourney this year still though.

Considering you posted constanly that we'd be horrible this year, I'll take that as a good sign.

We'll be good in time. Just need the train to stay on the tracks. A lot of our issues are youthful mistakes, IMO. We rush at the rim, we are sloppy with the ball, correctable things like that. But really like our ability, depth, and what I think is team-wide toughness right now.

1996, good thread. We fought and fought, that is what I hoped for. A lot of good to take away going forward.

I agree. Terrific summing up of what I saw.

Lose on Saturday and the collapse of last year is possible with trips to Prov and Xavier mixed in with Nova at home

Best aggregate underclassmen? Maybe. But
Mikal Bridges- freshman
Jalen Brunson- freshman
Phil Booth- soph
Eric pashcall- soph (sitting out after transfer from fordham and averaged 26 ppg as a freshman)
Omari Spellman- next year a freshman and top 20 recruit and big man.

These 2 teams will be very good with young players. Bridges a future pro
